My 5-year Plan.
Throughout my life people
have always asked me what I would do in 5 years time and my answer in my early
teens has always been 'I don't know'. I'm becoming 16 next month and i'm
starting to feel that at 16 I should know. I now have an idea of what I want to
accomplish in my early years of adulthood. In the next five years I plan on
completing my senior year of high school with flying colors, I would like
to take at least 4 months to travel the world with one of my closest friend
Cheyenne from Canada and would also like to settle in Australia to start
working on a degree of my choosing. I’m hoping to end up in Sydney when this
happens and I also hope to have earned my drivers license in the next 12 to 18
months, allowing me to have more independence by being mobile. I hope that
whatever I choose to study at University, will give me a career that would
provide with financial security and job satisfaction. I am looking forward to
enter my young adult years and to see if I will be on par with my 5-year plan.

Biography. The Life of Edoardo Paul Santoni.
Born on the 26th of March 1976, at Darlinghurst,
Sydney – Australia, Edoardo Paul Santoni also known as Edo grew up in a lovely
suburb of Forestville on the North Shore. This area is renowned for being the
typical suburban area but is also surrounded by a lot of National park. This
lead him to spend most of his childhood playing in the bush, camping, playing
cubby house in caves, fishing and being the average normal naughty teenager.
One of his
fondest memories when playing in the bush at a young age was when he
accidentally started a bushfire with his mates, which became an absolutely
terrifying experience for him. Boys being boys he’d do it again! Edo is also
known for his musical talent and his outgoing ways. When he was old enough to
start work, his first part-time job turned out to be at a butcher’s shop
cleaning meat trays after school. Italians are excessive about cleaning and
being Italian by descent this was a great first job for him even though he
claims ‘It was the most horrible job.’
One of his many passions in life is music. You can't
exactly put a time stamp for when music first made a mark on his life because he’s
always been around music. His father is a musician who would casually perform
gigs on the weekend. By the time his teenage years rolled by he started his
first band at the age of 13 and there was this one house where he and his band
mates would go to and jam. ‘We would just play there every afternoon
afterschool.’ His band started by learning the Beatles, classic rock like Led
Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix. When they were good enough to perform for an
audience they began to play at friends parties and even pubs before he was 18.
His Father worked in the hospitality industry working
for 5-star hotels as a room service manager. With his father in the hospitality
industry Edo was able to travel parts of the world, staying in beautiful hotel
rooms which became the best part of growing up and consequently now he loves
staying in hotel rooms even more than houses. His Mother, Margaret was your
typical 80’s woman, very career focused. In the 80’s there was a massive boom in
the economy and this was when women really started thriving in the workforce. His
mother became very successful in the real-estate industry. His parents actually
met at his father’s restaurant and the rest is history, unfortunately this
relationship ended his father’s first marriage as he was at the time already
married. No matter the circumstance Edo is quiet close with his older brother
and sister from his father’s first marriage.
Entering his early years of adulthood Edo began his
journey into music, which has enabled him to express himself. As a kid in his
free time he enjoyed making music, playing music and doing lots of jam
sessions. He still does this. His very first performance was when he played
lead role in the production Oliver in year 6. It was this performance that made
Edo realize that this is what he wanted to do in the future, this lead him to
pursue a career in music and earned a degree at the University of Sydney.
Present day, he has a job as at Music Mosaics in
Sydney as a Director specializing services in performance, recording and
education. Musicians such as Miles Davis, Herby Hancock, James Taylor has been
inspirations but the biggest has been Jim Morrison. Edo would dress up like
him, sang like him and even perform songs in pubs pretending he was Jim, so
much so that Edo would sometimes perform with his back toward the audience as
Jim did.
Edo feels that there is still more to accomplish in
life and he will continue to work toward his goals. Looking back at Edo’s life
he would like to be remembered as a funny, clumsy, endearing, naughty but nice
guy. Someone that generally made a lot of good things happen and who helped
others be the best versions of themselves.

My Autobiography.
“My life is like a one dollar coin, it has two sides.”
Being of
mixed race half Indonesian and half Australian, my life has been a mix of cultural
and religious events. I was born on the 5th of November of 1998 on
the island of Bali. Being born in Bali makes me Indonesian and Australian by
descent. My life has consisted of a number of religious ceremonies from Galungan
and Otonan to Easter and Christmas. My mother is from Sydney-Australia and my
father is Balinese-Indonesian.
My first
taste of travelling was when I was a young age of 11 month’s, this trip was a
family holiday to celebrate my first birthday with my Australian family in
Sydney. I consider myself pretty close to most of my family and relatives on both
my Indonesian and Australian side. My travelling experiences are quiet minimal,
as I haven’t had the chance to leave the Indian Ocean but if given the chance I
would love to travel across Europe.
A joy in
my life is having my dogs, currently 6 in total. I have four dogs at my dad’s
house, Divo, Pippy, Domba and Minnie and two at my mums, Sandy and MJ. My love
for dogs started at the age of 5 when my father decided to purchase a dog at
the bird market to help secure our house after a robbery. I remember feeling
very excited the day we brought Charlie home, as I had always wanted a dog to
play with and to have as a friend at the time.
My
experience with death has been pretty major for my age, as I have lost quiet a
few family members. My first experience with death was with my auntie’s baby
who died from complications not long after birth. My second experience was very
significant as it was my babysitter who was like a big sister to me, she was
killed in a motorbike accident. My third was my Australian grandmother and just
recently my cousin’s husband who was like a grandfather to me passed away in
Bali while on holidays. It seems that I don't have the best of luck when it
comes to family related deaths.
At the age
of 8 my parents decided to separate which didn't really effect me at that age
but in my early teens I did find it quiet frustrating as it was a case of
getting my parents to agree on allowing me to go places and activities in
general. Now it's a lot easier as they trust my judgment, as I am getting
older.
Earlier
this year when I received a job offer from a dear friend of mine at Surfer Girl
I was ecstatic as it gave me my first taste of what the working world had to
offer. My job was to offer my opinion and to assist the local staff with their
English for all their marketing promotions and blogs. Their blog concept was
based around a fictional character called Summer who was around my age and
lived in Bali.
In
conclusion I look forward to the future coming out of my teenage years and
entering adulthood.
